Title case rules used here

Title Case capitalizes the first and last words and every major word. Short function words such as a, an, the, and, but, or, of, on, to and in stay lowercase in the middle of a title. Words with deliberate internal capitals, such as iPhone or McDonald, are left as you typed them. Style guides differ on details such as prepositions of four or more letters, so check against your publication’s guide for formal work.

Fixing text typed with caps lock

Choose Sentence case to turn “THIS WAS TYPED WITH CAPS LOCK ON.” into “This was typed with caps lock on.” Sentence case cannot know which words are names, so read the result and restore capitals for people, places and brands.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between title case and capitalized case?

Capitalized case starts every word with a capital letter. Title case follows headline style: short articles, conjunctions and prepositions such as a, and, of and the stay lowercase unless they are the first or last word, or follow a colon.

How does sentence case work?

Sentence case lowercases the text, then capitalizes the first letter of each sentence and each new line. The pronoun I is capitalized too. Names and acronyms are lowercased, so check proper nouns such as cities, brands and people afterwards.

Can I convert text to camelCase or snake_case for code?

Yes. camelCase, PascalCase, snake_case, kebab-case and CONSTANT_CASE split words at spaces, punctuation and existing capital letters, so XMLHttpRequest becomes xml_http_request. Each line is converted separately, which makes it easy to rename a list of fields.

Is my text uploaded or saved?

No. The conversion runs in this browser tab, and the text is not sent to SuperUtils or saved in your browser storage. Close the tab or clear the box when you finish.
