The Image Optimizer That Erases Exif and Adobe XMP Metadata Was Updated

On Tuesday, May 18, 2010 our image optimizer for erasing Exif and Adobe XMP, ExifCleaner was updated to the version 1.3. Here is the list of changes:

  • Added definition of the Gamma Exif tag.
  • Now Exif cleaner opens an image with an associated program on double-clicking a single item in the list.
  • A configurable option of opening an image on double clicking the image thumbnail.
  • A new extra option of removing all JPEG comment (COM) markers, if there are any.
  • Finding and removing the ICC profile.
  • A new option of removing the Adobe APP14 segment.
  • Buttons for quick selecting of all and of none additional metadata to remove.
  • A new file option: Opening the destination folder when processing is finished.
  • Fixed an error when specifying bad output directory and a tab other than File Options is selected.
  • Saving and restoring dimensions of form, panes and columns.
  • Now you cannot close the Progress window when erasing of Exif and of other metadata is in progress.

The Audio Player That Remembers the Last Played Track and Position Was Updated

Today we’re proud to present you a new release of our audio player that remembers the last played track/song and position in it. Here is the changelog for Angel’s Vox v1.4:

  • Added support of MPEG-4 audio file formats: now the player can playback AAC, MP4, M4A and M4B files.
  • Ability to change the tempo of an audio book without changing the pitch, and to alter the playback pitch regardless of other params. Explore additional options using the spinner at left and above of the Stop button.
  • Added a configurable function for skipping commercials.
  • Count-down mode for the track progress timer.
  • Disabling hardware mixing option for bypassing possible driver issues.
  • Restoring from the system tray when loading a second copy of the audio book player.
  • Some interface fixes and corrections.

Our Exif Deletion Tool Was Renewed

Today our tool for deletion Exif metadata, ExifCleaner was updated to the version 1.2. The changes for the current release are:

  • Added an option for deletion the Adobe XMP metadata.
  • An option for removing IPTC (including the whole Photoshop IRB section), if it presents in the file.
  • Now you can copy selected Exif strings to the clipboard via the context menu or using the Ctrl+C command.
  • Fixed detection of the shell extension on x64 systems.
  • Fixed displaying the image icons on some Windows versions.
  • Some minor enhancements.

The Free Auto Muter for Windows

A new free utility, the auto muter of sound is available. It is called Mute on Lock and works in all Windows versions with fast user switching (starting from Microsoft Windows XP up to the newest Windows 7). Allows you to mute speakers when you are locking the workstation, or by pressing the configurable hot key.

An Updated Audiobook Player Is Available

On Friday, February 5, 2010 our audiobook player, Angel’s Vox was updated to the version 1.3. This is what is new:

  • Changed an icon of the Sleep Timer button.
  • Fixed the problem with skinned scroll bars when in the always-on-top mode.
  • Minimizing to tray when the Shift key is hold down.
  • Skinned dialogs for opening files were replaced by the standard system dialogs.
  • Added an optional support of multimedia keys (see the dialog Settings).
  • Added an option for an exact seeking and length detection.
  • Added an option “Automatically create a record in the Library on calling the Play File(s)/Directory command”. It is enabled by default.
  • A few minor enhancements.
