On Saturday, April 14, 2012, our audiobook player with auto-bookmarks was updated to the version 1.7. These are implemented new features and tweaks made:

• Enhanced, the UIPI workaround for: support for multimedia keys, Windows 7/8 taskbar’s thumbnail toolbar, restoring of the tray icon after Windows Explorer’s crash or restart, and for detecting of multiple running app instances.
• Tested for compatibility against the Ubuntu GNU/Linux Desktop 11.10 x86-64 + Wine 1.4 final and on the consumer preview of Windows 8.
• Signed and timestamped the program binaries, using SuperUtils’ digital signature issued by COMODO.
• Tweaked to remember the most recently used directory paths between launches, by the commands “Add Directory” and “Play Directory”.
• Fixed the tab order of the windows “Sleep Timer Options” and “Settings”.
• Enhanced the installer of the application to set the correct working directory for the created shortcuts.
• Upgraded the used list control and the audio subsystem to the most recent version.
• Since this release, the volume fading isn’t applied to short sound files anymore.
• A few grammar corrections.

This version of the audiobook player is very recommended for you to upgrade to.

Our bulk utility to purge Exif metadata out of digital photos has just been updated to the version 1.8.10. These are the changes:

• Reworked the Exif remover to remember the five most recently used folder paths for modified files.
• Implemented displaying of data removing progress on the Windows Seven/Eight taskbar.
• Tested for compatibility on the Windows 8 Consumer Preview and on Wine 1.4 — no issues spotted.
• Trimming of leading and trailing white spaces, and shortening of data of the undefined type, when displaying Exif strings.
• Reloading of Exif details on the corresponding panel after successful removing.

This release contains a few enhancements and is recommended for you to upgrade.

Audiobook Downloader Pro — the download manager of free and public domain audio books — is just updated to the version 1.3.3. The new features and changes are:

• Added 1250 more free audiobooks and 81183 downloadable files to the catalog (32 percent growth)!
• Launched and tested for compatibility on the recently released Windows 8 Consumer Preview.
• Installed and successfully run on the desktop version of Ubuntu 11.10 x64 + Wine 1.4-rc6.

On Friday, February 24, 2012, we released our updated utility for digital photographers, mass Exif data remover for Windows. These are the changes made in ExifCleaner 1.7:

• The program executables were digitally signed.
• Put a reference to the ICC profile article.
• Successfully launched on Ubuntu v11.10 “Oneiric Ocelot” x86-64 and Wine 1.3.28 (do note that Linux is not officially supported — run ExifCleaner on it at your own risk).
• Successfully tested on the developer preview of Windows 8.
• The Remove ICC option is now disabled by default.
• Fixed the loading bug taking place when data of a preview image cannot be found in existing Exif’s thumbnail section.
• Upgraded the utilized tree/list control.
• Add Directory now remembers the most recently used folder path.
• A few internal changes.

This version is very recommended for you to upgrade, since it contains several bugfixes and has nice enhancements.
